In Uttar Pradesh, a dreaded criminal Bhupendra alias ‘Banti’ of Udham Singh Gang has been shot dead in a police encounter near Gangnahar railway bridge and ordnance factory in Ghaziabad district last evening. The incident occurred when Banti and his associate were moving on motorcycle in Muradnagar police station area. When police and SOG team tried to stop them, they fired on police party. Police retaliated and in the ensuing encounter, Banti was killed while his accomplice managed to escape. Banti carried a reward of 15,000 rupees on his head.<br/><br/>
