DRDO developing censors to block CBRN attacks

The Defence Research and Development Organisation is developing static and moving censors to build a strong defence against possible chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear radiation attacks. DRDO will soon set up an institute near Delhi to train the armed forces' personnel in this field. This was stated by DRDO Director General V K Saraswat in Chennai today. He said the censors will enable detection of chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological
agents.

He said, the 5,000 plus km range surface-to-surface missile A V (Agni V) will be tested next month, while the country's latest 1000-km range sub-sonic land attack cruise missile 'Nirbhay' will be tested this year. He said DRDO has completed Tejas – the Light Combat Aircraft – for the Navy, which will enter the flight trial phase soon.
