<span style="color: #222222;">DRDO today conducted the successful trial of the Medium Range Surface to Air MR-SAM missile from Chandipur off the Odisha coast. This was the army version of the MR-SAM missile which has been designed jointly by India and Israel.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports,&nbsp;'Bansi'-a target missile was launched from the launch pad no.1 of the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur at 52 minutes past 3 p.m. in the afternoon today. Barely 3 minutes later, MR-SAM was test fired only to hit the target successfully. The missile is designed to provide the armed forces with air defence capability against a variety of air-borne targets at medium ranges.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the efforts of DRDO and associated team members involved in the mission and said that India has attained a high level of capability in the indigenous design and development of advanced weapon systems.</span>
