Union Home Minister P Chidambaram said today, Jammu and Kashmir government is working on the draft surrender policy relating to return of Kashmiri militants who had crossed over to Pak-Occupied Kashmir, PoK. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters after the Unified Command meeting in Jammu, he said, the scheme has to be worked out and he will request the state government to give the draft as earlier as possible.<br/><br/>Mr Chidambaram added that he has identified some points which have to be factored in like identification, screening, facilitating travel back to Jammu and Kashmir, de-briefing and rehabilitation.<br/><br/>He said this will take time and all have to work on the scheme patiently and carefully. The Home Minister said the idea is to facilitate youth who have crossed over to PoK to return to the state and be united with their families if they shun militancy.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent R K Raina reports that strong objections were raised by Jammu based Political parties to the Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy for the Kashmiri Youth, who are in Pak Occupied Kashmir.
