Dr. Subhash Sarkar releases ARIIA 2021, Madras bags 1st position under Central University and Institute of National Importance category

<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State for Education Dr. Subhas Sarkar today virtually announced the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA), 2021. Indian Institute of Technology of Madras got the first rank under the Central University and Institute of National Importance category.<br />'' <br />'' On this occasion, Dr. Sarkar said, ARIIA ranking will certainly inspire Indian institutions to reorient their mindset and build ecosystems to encourage high-quality research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in their campuses. Giving emphasis on promoting innovation to achieve a five-trillion dollar economy by 2025, Dr. Sarkar said, more than quantity, the institute should focus on the quality of innovations and research. He said, this will help in achieving the targets set for making the country self-reliant.<br />'' <br />'' Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe said, indigenous version of innovation and entrepreneurship ranking initiative designed through ARIIA, will not only help Higher Educational Institutions to demonstrate their efforts but also orient them in setting goals at institute level.</span>
