Dr Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS says, most people in home isolation or in hospital don't need any specific treatment, but they are in panic

<span style="color: #222222;">Dr Randeep Guleria, Director All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has said, most of the people in home isolation or in the hospital do not actually need any specific treatment, but they are in panic.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, only a small percentage of people with COVID infection require Remdesivir. Dr Guleria also said that Remdesivir is not a magic bullet for COVID-19 treatment. He said, the country is well balanced in terms of the number of people who need oxygen and the supply of it.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The AIIMS Director said, more than 85 per cent of people will recover without any specific treatment. He added that most of the people will have symptoms like common cold and sore throat and over 5 to 7 days, they will recover with symptomatic treatment.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman Medanta also said Remdesivir only decreases viral load in people who need it. He said, less percentage of people require hospitalisation in the COVID cases. He stressed the need that the hospital beds should be utilised judiciously.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr Devi Shetty, Chairman, Narayana Health said, if anyone has symptoms like body ache, cold, cough, indigestion, vomiting, they must get themselves tested for COVID-19. It is the most important thing. He urged the people not to panic as COVID-19 is common now. He added that it is a problem that can be solved provided one gets the medical help at an early stage and follows the doctor's instructions.</span><br />''  <br />
