In Manipur, the Chairman of the State Board of Secondary Education Dr. Naorem Kunjabihari was shot dead on Tuesday evening in his office in Imphal by unknown assailants. Angered by the killing, the local people from deceased’s hometown have blocked National Highway – 39 Imphal-Moreh Road at Singjamei Naorem Leikai area near Imphal from this morning. Police sources said, the incident took place on Tuesday evening at the office complex of the Board. Dr. Kunjabihari was appointed as the Chairman of the Board few months back. Earlier, he also served as the Secretary of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur.
