<span style="color: #222222;">Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya today reviewed public health preparedness and national Covid-19 vaccination progress with six western states and Union Territories. These states and UTs are Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Dadra &amp; Nagra Haveli and Daman &amp; Diu. During the meeting, states and UTs have been advised to undertake regular review of health infrastructure, establish tele-consultation hubs in every district and focus on widespread awareness regarding healthcare services.<br />''<br />''While reiterating the importance of Test, Track, Treat, Vaccinate and adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour against Covid-19, Dr Mandaviya said, holistic synergy between the Centre and States is most vital for seamless and effective pandemic management. He said, the Centre has provided support under India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Package-Phase-II for strengthening the health infrastructure across the country. He urged the states to efficiently utilize the funds provided under the package. It also suggested that the operational status of infrastructures like beds, PSA plants, and oxygen equipment be d by States and UTs on a regular basis. Dr Mandaviya also advised reviewing the buffer stock of essential medicines.<br />''<br />''The Union Minister also advised the States and UTs to increase vaccination coverage of all eligible populations, especially in low vaccination coverage areas and districts. He stressed that vaccination against COVID results in low hospitalisation and severity. He emphasised on administration of precaution dose for the eligible beneficiaries. He also requested to expedite vaccination of children aged between 15 to 18 years.</span>
