The Prime Minister and Congress leader Dr. Manmohan Singh today addressed voters in poll bound Uttarakhand. Hitting the campaign trail for his party at a public rally in Rudrapur, Dr. Singh said that only the Congress realises the importance of ideal governance marked by co-ordination between the states and the centre.AIR correspondence reports that attacking the BJP government in the poll-bound state, the PM accused it of failing to sincerely implement central schemes and properly utilising funds provided to the state for carrying out developmental activities in the region.Dr. Singh said that if the state government had shown sincere interest in implementation of these programmes, the people of the state would have benefited more. He claimed that during the earlier Congress government, the state had witnessed a swift pace of development.Meanwhile BJP National General Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan briefing media persons held UPA policies responsible for the price hike. He alleged that Congress has not fulfilled the promises made in the earlier manifestos.
