Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today inaugurated a five-day orientation programme for 5th batch of MBA and 1st batch of PhD programme at Indian Institute of Management, IIM, Jammu.&nbsp; Speaking after inaugurating the programme through digital mean, he said IIM, in Jammu is one of the major achievements of Centre in the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Taking about the educational boost brought about in the last six years in Jammu by the central government, Dr Singh said, with the establishment of an Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Technology,&nbsp; Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and AIIMS in the region, Jammu has emerged as an education hub in North India . <br />''<br />''He said,&nbsp; up gradation of Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, construction of National Institute of High Altitude Medicine at Bhaderwah, which will soon be operational&nbsp; and other centrally funded institutions reflect Centre's commitment towards bringing holistic development in the education sector in Jammu region.<br />''<br />'' Dr Singh informed that the Union Territory Government has started an outreach programme with an investment of over 25000 crore rupees which will pave a way for the establishment of new industrial hubs and industrial estates even in the smaller districts like Udhampur.</span><br />
