On the eve of Diwali, Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office and local MP Dr. Jitendra Singh today visited BSF troops in Samba sector along the Indo-Pak International border in Jammu and Kashmir. The Minister extended Diwali greetings to the troops and applauded them for giving befitting reply to unprovoked Pakistani shelling.<br/><br/>He said, Indian security forces are protecting borders even at the cost of their precious lives. Mr. Singh assured troops that whole nation stands behind our security forces and it is due to forces that the nation celebrates festivals with peace.<br/><br/>Earlier, addressing a function organised by BJPs "Seema Jankalyan Samiti" at the border village of Rajpura Samba today, Mr Singh said, Pakistan is indulging in the worst violation of human rights by restoring to shelling in civilian areas and mutilating the bodies of soldiers. The Minister said, Pakistan will have to pay for its barbarous practices. <br/><br/>Talking to media persons in Jammu he said, government is capable of responding to any kind of threat on the border. A BSF jawan was killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in Macchil sector of Kupwara along the Line of Control this morning.
