Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region, Dr Jitendra Singh today announced 90 crore rupees for Northeast Hill Area Development beginning from Tamenglong district on a pilot basis. <br/><br/><br/>Talking to reporters after inaugurating the two-week Northeast handicraft-cum-handloom Exhibition cum Sale in New Delhi today, Dr Singh said, he had made the commitment to introduce an exclusive hill area development programme during his visit to Imphal to ensure equitable development of all the districts of the State. <br/><br/>The Minister said, over the last three years, the handloom and textile products from Northeast have been given due boost. <br/>'<br/>
