Goa's former Chief Minister Dr. Luis Proto Barbosa passed away this morning at Margaon in south Goa. He was 84. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Margaon. He will be laid to rest at cansaulim, his home town on Sunday Oct 9. He is survived by a son and two daughters. Dr. Barbosa had represented Loutulim assembly constituency in south Goa. He had also been the Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly. Several leaders have condoled the death of the former Chief Minister.
