<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Principal Secretary of Skill Development Department Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today chaired a meeting with senior functionaries of Skill Development and other allied departments at Civil Secretariat, Jammu to review the functioning and progress achieved under different developmental activities.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports, that threadbare discussion was held on various issues pertaining to Skill Development Department including constitution of Institute Management Committee for Model ITI, Jammu, finalize guidelines for Institutional Development Fund (IDF), completion of Polytechnic campuses under Languishing Projects, and establishment of four IT labs under STRIVE project. Besides, modalities for completing ongoing execution of new works under CAPEX 2021-22, completion of civil works of Polytechnics at Kishtwar, Poonch, Doda, Ramban, Udhampur, and Kupwara district, implementation of CSS (seven ITIs under STRIVE and two Model ITIs) and fresh recruitment of faculty in Polytechnics/ITIs were also discussed. Dr. Samoon gave several directions to the Chief Engineers of PWD Kashmir/Jammu and JKPCC to expedite the construction works of newly constructed premises so that the classes could be started at newly constructed buildings. He also instructed the Director of Skill Development Department to ensure the physical and financial progress of various works being carried out by the different executive agencies so that the works could be completed in the stipulated time frame.&nbsp;</span><br />
