Former President and eminent nuclear scientist, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, will inaugurate the Children's Science Congress today at Bhubaneswar.

The three-day event is being organised to provide unique opportunity for children to use their scientific temperament and knowledge for creativity by conducting scientific experiments.

Union Minister of Human Resources Development, Communications and Information Technology, Kapil Sibal, Union Minister of Sciences and Technology and Earth Sciences, Vilasrao Desmukh, Union Minister of State of Planning, Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Ashwani Kumar will also attend the inaugural function of the Children's Science Congress.

Dr Kalam will present Young Scientists Awards to some of the aspiring scientists during the function.
