Dr. Anjan Trikha shares story of nurses who selflessly took care of COVID patients along with her mother

The ongoing Corona virus pandemic has been a challenging time especially for the doctors, nurses and the paramedical staff. The dedication and selfless service of all the medical personnel has helped the country to deal with the unprecedented crisis. Talking to AIR News, Dr. Anjan Trikha, Professor, Critical Care of COVID Centre shares the story of a nurse who selflessly took care of COVID patients along with her mother.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”Relatives of the COVID patients are not allowed in the COVID Care Ward in AIIMS to keep them safe from the infection. One of the professional nurse, working in the peripheral hospital of AIIMS took three weeks leave from the hospital she is working in the NCR so that she could take care of her ill mother. The nurse was officially deputed in the COVID Ward for three weeks where her mother was admitted. Dr.Trikha informs, in those three weeks the nurse worked extra hours in the PPE suit and took care of five COVID patients, easing the burden of the medical staff.<br />”<br />”This pandemic has brought to the fore human values and will always be remembered as how society came forward to fight the invisible enemy.<br />
