The downward trend in the COVID positive cases continued in the Union Territory of Puducherry with 128 new cases being reported as against the 158 yesterday.<br />'' <br />''According to the COVID-19 status for today released by the health department, the recovery rate has improved to 86.81 percent while, the case fatality rate remained at 1.72 percent.<br />'' <br />''Presently, 1577 persons are under treatment in the hospitals and another 2335 positive cases are under home isolation in all the four regions of the Union Territory.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">So far, 34112 persons are infected by the virus of which 29614 were cured and 586 died leaving 3912 active cases.</span><br />
