National Security Advisor Ajit Doval today stressed the need for constant self-training for police officials to acquire knowledge and skills to ensure peace in society. <br/><br/> He was addressing trainee IPS officers who completed 46 week rigorous training at the Warfare Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy this morning. Stating that maintenance of peace in the civic society is the biggest challenge especially in the modern age, the National Security Advisor asked the new police officials to develop their own brand image so that the sociological, economic and political constraints can be dealt with.<br/><br/>Earlier, presenting the training report, Academy Director Aruna Bahuguna said the training curriculum has been expanding year after year to meet the growing needs of the officers of tomorrow. She said the officers have been imparted training in the basic policing areas like jungle survival, operation modules, weapon training, security management. She said special curriculum programmes in communal and gender sensitization and exposure in various law enforcement areas has been given this time.<br/><br/>Dr Parthrajsinh Gohil has received the prestigious Mehata Cup and Prime Minister's Baton and the Home Ministry's revolver for his best all round performance. Bhavani Gupta stood as best lady trainee officer.<br/><br/>A total 156 IPS trainees passed out today after a 46 weeklong rigorous training. They include 28 women and 15 from Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives.
