Indian Railways will introduce a double storey train between Howrah and Dhanbad by next week. Talking to media persons in New Delhi, the Railways Minister Mamta Banerjee said, the train will have eight coaches with the passenger capacity of 128 in each of the coaches. She said, similar trains will be introduced in other places, if theexperiment proves successful.Ms. Banerjee said, railways will be accident free in a year, as new anti-collision devices are being installed. Ms Banerji asserted that the common man is the focus of her ministry and all steps are being taken to make the railway travel hassle free. She said, the Railways is holding discussions with the state bank of India for smart card to the passengers, through which travellers can book their tickets on internet. She also added that the possibility of introducing faster trains on the pattern of bullet trains is also being examined.
