Department of Telecom has issued the revised terms and conditions for issue and renewal of NOC for sale and rent of International Roaming SIM Cards and Global Calling Cards of Foreign Operators in India. The revised terms and conditions have been finalized after the recommendations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. The revised terms will strengthen the mechanism to protect the interests of the Indian public visiting abroad. The revised policy mandates the NOC holders to make provision for providing information about customer care service, contact details, itemized bills, information related to tariff plans, and offered services. Consumer grievance redressal mechanism has also been strengthened.
