The first Doppler radar of the national capital is due to be installed next month, a move that may ease weather worries of Delhiites. Director General, Indian Meteorological Department, Ajit Tyagi said, the Doppler radar will provide data to estimate accurately the centre and intensity of a storm, fixing its position and predicting its path unlike the existing systems that provide information only on the range of a storm. The 12 crore rupee hi-tech radar will be installed at Palam in December while another is expected to be placed at Mausam Bhavan around next July. Another Doppler Weather Radar is proposed to be installed at Jaipur to keep a tab on the weather approaching from the west. <br/>
