<span style="color: #222222;">Domestic Coal Production in the country has gone up by twenty eight per cent as of 16th of this month. After a record-breaking coal production of 777 Million Tonne (MT) in 2021-22, the domestic coal production continues to witness an increasing trend in the current financial year as well.<br />''<br />''The Coal Ministry highlighted that the total domestic coal production in the year 2022-23, is over one hundred thirty seven MT in last month.<br />''<br />''The Ministry said adequate coal supply to the power sector ensured on a sustained basis and coal stock at different mines has touched fifty two MT which is sufficient for power sector requirement for twenty four days.<br />''<br />''The Coal Ministry said that the domestic coal production target for the current financial year is nine hundred eleven MT.<br />''<br />''The coal imports for blending by the Domestic Coal Based power plants have also dropped to eight point eleven MT in the year 2021-22. It is the lowest coal import in the last eight years.</span><br />
