Domestic passenger car sales were up by nearly 38 per cent to about 1 lakh 60 thousand units in July this year. The car sales were nearly 1 lakh 15 thousand in the same month last year. According to the figures released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Monday, motorcycle sales in the country grew by 30 per cent to over 7 lakh units while total two-wheeler sales in July increased 30.41 per cent.The report also says, that a total sales of vehicles across categories registered a growth of 31.50 per cent to nearly 12 lakh37 thousand units in July against over 9 lakh 41 thousand units in the same month last year.
