Domestic passenger car sales rose by 22.63 per cent to 1 lakh and eighty nine thousand units in February, 2011. The sales were 1,54,132 units in the same month last year. Figures released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers on Wednesday also show that motorcycle sales in the country grew by 20.8 per cent during the month to 7 lakh 76 thousand units. Total two-wheeler sales in February increased by 22.04 per cent to 10 lakh 22 thousand units.
