Documentaries from the Films Division showcasing themes like India's Freedom struggle as well as country's art and culture have become a hit with the viewers. These documentaries, in DVD and VCD form, have been made accessible at the National Film Archives of India – NFAI. The Director of NFAI Vijay Jadhav said in Pune that the response has exceeded expectations. He says there are 8000 documentaries made by films division chronicling events since the British rule and Independence Movement, touching upon various aspects of India's History and culture. <br/>Since February, when the NFAI announced the outlet, more than one lakh documentaries have been sold. The buyers are not only cine-enthusiasts but students, school representatives and institutions also. <br/>
