In Rajasthan, the state government has further intensified its efforts to maintain medical and health services in the strike affected government hospitals. Meanwhile 1184 out of 6500 striking doctors have returned to work so far. The Health Minister Mr. A.A. Khan told reporters that private hospitals in Jaipur have decided to render indoor services up to a capacity of 1720 beds to help government in catering to the needs of the patients, particularly with serious ailments. The Chief Secretary took stock of the situation in a meeting in Jaipur Sunday evening. The Doctors strike had begun last Wednesday in support of their demands including pay parity and timely promotions.
