In Rajasthan, the medical and health services have been disrupted by the Doctors strike. The Resident Doctors also joined the in-service Doctor strike launched yesterday for demanding pay parity.The contractual employees of the National Rural Health Mission are already on strike since Monday.The state government has made alternate arrangements to maintain medical services in the hospitals. 570 new Doctors have been appointed and been asked to join within three days. Doctors from private hospitals have also been deployed in government hospitals.The Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the striking doctors to resume their work on humanitarian grounds, failing which the government would not hesitate in taking stern action against them. The Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act (RESMA) has also been enforced for three months.
