The Bihar Governor has transferred Gopalgang District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar Pal and jail IG Ramesh Lal. Pankaj Kumar has been made new district Magistrate and Anand Kishore has been appointed as a new jail IG. AIR Patna correspondent reports that the action has been taken in the wake of killing of a doctor inside Gopalgang jail by the the inmates. The state home secretary has submitted his report to the Chief Minister on the incident.
