Do not use zero hour for condemning Paramilitary forces to settle political scores: Venkaiah Naidu

Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today asked opposition members in the Rajya Sabha not to use zero hour for condemning Paramilitary forces for settling political scores. He was responding to a zero hour mention by Hari Prasad of Congress who alleged that the paramilitary forces indulged in committing atrocities against girl students in Residential Schools in Chhattisgarh. <br/><br/> The Minister said the police and other forces are working in difficult conditions and trying to save lives of people by putting their own lives at stake. He said Chhattisgarh is a forward-looking state and there were no incidents of atrocities reported in the residential schools. He said if the opposition wants to support Maoists they can do, but they should not use the floor of the House for condemning the forces. The House witnessed noisy scenes for a while.
