DMRC to start construction work for its third phase expansion project

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC, will soon start construction work approved under its third phase expansion project. It will cover 140 kilometer another network of metro with an estimated cost of 42000 crore rupees. Under this phase metro will expand up to Faridabd and Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida to Kalindi Kunj. DMRC has set a target of completing its project in the next 5 years. With this the total network of the metro will go beyond 300 kilometers. AIR correspondent reports that Urban Development Ministry has also asked the DMRC Chief E Sreedharan to start planning the Phase-IV project as finance is not a problem. For the first time, Delhi Development Authority to contribute 1,500 crores rupees in the Delhi Metro's Phase-III project.
