DMRC Hikes Metro fare

<br/>The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation today hiked the minimum fare from six rupees to eight rupees while the maximum will be 30 rupees instead of 22 rupees.<br/><br/> The average increase in fare for all slabs is around 36 per cent. DMRC officials said, the 10 per cent discount on smart card will continue. The new fares will come into effect from Friday. This is the third time that DMRC has revised fares. The first one was in March 2004 while the second revision was in December 2005. The metro services started in the city in 2002.
