In Tamil Nadu, thousands of DMK workers were arrested while trying to protest against the AIADMK government for allegedly indicting DMK members in false cases. They held demonstrations in various district headquarters. In Chennai, former Deputy Chief Minister M.K Stalin and other former state Ministers including DMK MP, T.K.S. Elangovan were arrested alongwith hundreds of workers.
