In Tamil Nadu, the ruling DMK has retained Pennagaram Assembly Constituency where by-election were held on last Saturday. The AIADMK has been relegated to the third position, and its candidate forfeited his deposit and this will definitely hurt the party. After three straight losses including the two General elections and the 2006 assembly polls, the morale of the cadre seems to be at an all time low. The PKM, may be trifle happy, with its show. But the huge victory margin, in the by- elections clearly point out that the opposition may be finding it tough in the assembly elections, due next year.<br/>
