In Tamil Nadu, DMK Member of Parliament, Mr. Ritish Kumar, was arrested by the police in Chennai today following complaints of alleged grabbing of 1.47 acres of land at Sunguvarchathiram near Kanchipuram.AIR correspondent reports that the special police team arrested him at his residence in Mylapore at 07:30 am. He was later taken to the office of the Kancheepuram Superintendent of Police, after preliminary questioning. Mr. Ritish Kumar, also an actor was elected to the Loksabha from Ramanathapuram district.
