DMK Members were evicted from the Tamil Nadu Assembly today following commotion during reply of the Governor's speech. Trouble began when Markandeyan a member of the AIADMK referred to the issue of the DMK Chief Karunanidhi and his son Alagiri in his speech. The DMK members trooped to the well of the House and demanded that the Speaker Mr.Dhanapal expunge those remarks and also reiterated that the debate was only on the Governor's speech. The Speaker later allowed Mr. DuraiMurugan, the deputy leader of the DMK to speak. But the pandemonium continued as the ruling party did not relent and the member continued with the speech and the remarks.
Immediately, the DMK members again trooped into the well and demanded that the remarks made against DMK leader be expunged and reiterated for a debate on the Governor's speech. As heated exchanges prevailed on both sides, Sivasankaran, a DMK member tore the Governor's speech. Following this, the Speaker ordered for the eviction. Later, all the DMK members were evicted.
