DMK leader and CM elect M K Stalin instructs Chief Secretary to set up war room to handle COVID-19 situation in Tamil Nadu

<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu, DMK leader and Chief Minister elect M K Stalin has instructed the Chief Secretary to set up a war room immediately to handle the COVID-19 situation in the State. In a statement released in Chennai, Mr Stalin said, this would be a centre to handle COVID related necessities like oxygen beds, availability of vaccines and the related issues to efficiently manage the alarming situation. He has appealed to the private hospitals to possibly allot more than 50 per cent beds for COVID patients till the situation improves. The DMK leader emphasised that private hospitals should consider reducing prices of medical treatment.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a related development, the Madras High Court has issued a notice to the State Government to provide information on availability of beds, Oxygen cylinders and stock of vaccines in the State.</span><br />''  <br />
