In Tamil Nadu, the DMK has decided to admit, the PMK, into the Democratic Progressive alliance. A resolution to this effect was adopted at the high level committee meeting chaired by the Party President and Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi in Chennai last evening. <br/> <br/>The committee deliberated on the issue of giving a Rajya Sabha ticket to the PMK and it was decided that the new ally would be given a seat after the assembly elections due next year.<br/> <br/>Mr Karunanidhi also announced the names of the three candidates to be fielded by the party to the Rajya Sabha to be held on the 17th of next month. K.P.Ramalingam, Thangavelu, and T.M.Selvaganapathy will be the DMK candidates. Filing of nominations for the Rajya Sabha elections begins on Monday. <br/>
