DMK, a key ally of the Congress-led UPA government, today thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the successful passage of the Women's Reservation Bill in the Rajya Sabha.<br/> <br/>DMK Parliamentary Party leader T R Baalu met the Prime Minister in Delhi and thanked him on behalf of DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.<br/> <br/>An official release in Chennai said, during the meeting, Dr Singh thanked Karunanidhi for extending his support to the Bill, which reserves one third of seats for women in Lok Sabha and state Assemblies.
