A day after breaking the deadlock, DMK and Congress on Wednesday formalised their seat-sharing pact for the upcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. Under the pact the Congress party will contest 63 seats. A seat sharing agreement was signed by the DMK chief M Karunanidhi and Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K V Thangkabalu in Chennai on Wednesday. After signing the deal, Mr.Thangabaalu told reporters that the names of the list of constituencies would be decided on Thursday by the five member election committees of both parties. DMK and Congress had contested the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha polls from the same platform besides the 2006 Assembly elections.
