DMK President and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi today.

The meeting comes on a day when a special CBI court is likely to frame charges against 17 accused, including Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi, in the 2G scam case.

Earlier in the morning, Karunanidhi met Home Minister P Chidambaram and Law Minister Salman Khurshid. The DMK Chief will also meet his daughter Kanimozhi in Tihar Jail today. Kanimozhi, charged by the CBI as co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum scam, has been in Tihar Jail since May, with the court denying her bail.
