In Tamil Nadu, the ruling DMK candidates have established unbeatable lead over their nearest rivals from the AIADMK in the by-elections to Tiruchendur and Vandavasi assembly constituencies. At the end of the 12 the round counting in Tiruchendur constituency DMK candidate Anitha Radhakrishnan has an unassailable lead of 41,000 votes over his rival from the AIADMK. In Vandavasi constituency, at the end of the tenth round Kamalakannan of the DMK has a lead over 28,000 votes. AIR correspondent reports that for the first time live recording of the counting process is being done in the two constituencies. The process is being viewed online in the video conferencing hall of The NIC at the secretariat in Chennai. The Election commission in an attempt to ensure greater transparency in the counting process, has also introduced a new system by which one round of counting will be taken up only after displaying on a board the results of the previous round.<br/>
