In Tamil Nadu, the DMK party has announced that party functionaries all over Tamil Nadu, will observe a one-day fast on Thursday, demanding that the Centre support the US- backed resolution against Sri Lanka in the United Nations Human Rights Council meeting on Friday.

The party in its press release issued in Chennai today, said the Party President, M. Karunanidhi will lead the fast in Chennai.
