The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and the DMK chief Mr.M Karunanidhi today announced the alliance with Pattali Makkal Katchi, PMK, in the forthcoming assembly elections. Speaking to newsmen in Chennai, Mr Karunanidhi said that the PMK would be allotted 31 assembly seats and one Rajya Sabha seat. Replying to a query, he said that the Congress has no objection to the alliance.
