In Tamilnadu, the AIADMK has offered 41 seats to the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) led by actor Vijayakant as part of its alliance in the Assembly elections on April 13.The actor met the AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa at her residence and finalised the deal on Friday. The Left parties and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), the other major parties in the AIADMK front, are still continuing their talks on seat-sharing. On the other hand, the DMK Chief Mr. Karunanidhi has expressed his displeasure over the constantly rising demands of the Congress. In a statement released in the wee hours today, the DMK President said that Congress had earlier agreed to 60 seats. He said, now Congress is demanding 63 seats and the constituencies of its choice.Karunanidhi has said that he was upset with the Congress stand and said that an appropriate decision would be taken at the DMK's high-level action committee meeting to be held later today.
