In Uttar Pradesh, Diwali is being celebrated with religious devotion and enthusiasm across the state. The enthusiasm for Diwali is visible in cities, towns and villages. People across the state have lit their homes with lights and lamps. The city of Ayodhya is celebrating Deepawali in a special manner. By lighting lamps, people are celebrating the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This year the state government created a world record, the 6th time in a row by lighting over 22 lakh diyas in the city yesterday on the occasion of Deepotsav. The residents of the city and devotees from around the world were seen visiting the temples throughout the day including Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya. While in Chitrakoot, devotees from India and abroad are visiting the Panchkosi Parikrama of Lord Kamtanath. A five-day fair has also been organized in Chitrakoot on the occasion of Diwali.<br />'' <br />
