Divergent views are being presented to the SriKrishna Committee, the panel set up by the centre to study the situation in Andhra Pradesh during its political consultations.

The panel, which is in Hyderabad for two-day political consultations, has held met delegations from with Praja Rajyam Party and CPI on Thursday.

A delegation headed by Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has appealed to the panel not to trust the claims by parties favouring separate Telangana about injustice done to the region while the CPI reiterated its stand on peaceful parting of ways between people of Andhra and Telangana.

The PR made a strong pitch before the committee for continuing a unified State on the ground that a larger State had several advantages compared to smaller ones.

In a sharp contrast, the CPI wanted the committee to consider the gravity of the situation where the people were thoroughly divided. The party has further said it is neither acceptable nor possible to live together any more.

The panel will consult the CPM before it leaves for Delhi on Friday afternoon.
