Meeting of District Magistrates of all 121 targeted districts is underway in New Delhi to discuss ways to address glitches in the implementation of Direct Benefits Transfer, DBT Programme.

Progress in implementation will be reviewed with the DMs, particularly of 43 districts where the scheme is operational since January 1 this year. DMs of other 78 districts, where the scheme is to be rolled out on 1st of July, are also expected to report the progress made in groundwork done for the launch.
