In Kerala, district level offices are being set up to carry out social auditing of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. AIR correspondent reports the social auditing of MG-NAREGA will be completed by the last week of next month. One Panchayat each in fourteen districts of the state will be benefited from this. Official sources said retired officials, social workers or young professionals will be engaged on temporary basis on a daily allowance of five hundred rupees for auditing. The state level social auditing was launched by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at Kottayam.
