<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, to make the ongoing nationwide 21 days lockdown successful, in view of the prevailing situation due to COVID-19, the District Administration Kargil has adopted a multipronged mechanism in the district.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Even as restrictions under Section 144 Cr PC are in place, house to house delivery of essential commodities is also being ensured without break.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Starting from March 27 till date, the Administration has distributed 5329 quintals rice, 4290 quintals atta, 5600 LPG cylinders and 33460 liters K Oil among 20300 households at their doorstep which spread across 160 villages in 12 blocks of the district.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the quantity of ration commodities and LPG cylinders delivered door to door today included 640 quintals rice, 452 quintals atta and 180 LPG cylinders which were distributed among 1844 families in 8 blocks.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Moreover, as a part of the necessary measures to increase awareness amongst the people about the importance of the precautionary measures, messages and appeals by the heads of religious and social organizations, messages to senior citizens and the youth on information about COVID-19 have also been prepared by the District Administration in audio and visual forms in local languages. These messages are being announced from the mosques and other religious places, through the Magistrates in their respective jurisdictions as well as social media including WhatsApp and Facebook.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meetings were also held with the heads of religious and social organizations as well as prominent citizens at the district as well the Sub Divisional levels who assured to extend their full cooperation in restricting religious and social gatherings besides following the SOPs and protocols which is presently showing good results on ground.</span><br />
