<span style="color: #222222;">In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, District Administration Baramulla today organised a day long awareness cum training programme for stakeholders to ensure COVID free tourism activities at the famous tourist destination Gulmarg in Kashmir valley.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The move was aimed at educating tour and travel agents, tourist guides, hoteliers, ponywallas and other concerned stakeholders associated with the tourism sector about different measures that need to be adopted for mitigating the risk of COVID-19 infection.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Ghulam Nabi Itoo, presided over the programme and highlighted the role of different stakeholders in combating COVID-19 pandemic and stressed to remain proactive for averting the eventualities. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The DC accompanied by various concerned officers also inspected various vehicles at Pattan to monitor whether different SOPs and guidelines, especially using face masks are being adhered to, by the travellers and drivers. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He urged upon the people to follow all the requisite advisories in letter and spirit for mitigating the risk of infection. Resource persons including doctors also informed the participants about various means and measures pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic and emphasised for adopting requisite advisories so as to prevent the spread of the virus.</span><br />''
